Mother Terasa Educational and charitable Trust was established in 1999 by Dr.R.Chinnathambi, Chairperson of Annavasal Union in 1986, a renowned philanthropist and humanitarian, with the noble mission to promote quality education in this rural area. This Trust, named after the great humanitarian Mother Terasa, stands for upholding her values. Quality Education is the dream of the students in the vicinity. The trust promotes quality education to the poor students of this district.

The managing Trustee Mr.R.C.Udhayakumar B.A., is a young and dynamic person. He mange’s all the educational institutions run by the Trust which owns 100 acres of land for promoting education. Mother Teresa Education Institutions strive to achieve excellence in education through high quality, competency based education to the younger generation preparing them to face any given challenge in their day-to-day life. Mother Terasa Polytechnic College (MTPC) is located in Illuppur on the Highway connecting Pudukkottai and Viralimalai It is 30 Kms from Pudukkottai. The dry and hot fields of Illuppur have been converted in to fields of education by this trust. The management believes in system of quality education.
